Governor Lenku reshuffles Cabinet to enhance service delivery in Kajiado County

Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has reshuffled his County Executive Committee (CEC) and made changes among several Chief Officers in a move aimed at enhancing smooth operations and improving service delivery across the county.

In the changes announced, Finance CEC Member Alais Kisota has been transferred to the Department of Public Service, Social Services, Citizen Participation and Inspectorate Services. Michael Semera, who had been serving as the CEC Member for Water, Environment and Climate Change, has been appointed to head the Finance, Economic Planning and Information and Communication Technology docket.

The Governor also reassigned Judy Pere, who was in charge of Public Service, Social Services, Citizen Participation and Inspectorate Services, to the Water, Environment and Climate Change department.

Changes were also effected at the Chief Officer level. Health Services Chief Officer Stephen Pelo has been moved to the Trade, Enterprise Development and Investments docket. Julius Marao, who previously served in Lands and Physical Planning, has been appointed as the new Chief Officer for Health Services.

Further, Makarios Tuukuo, formerly the Chief Officer for Agriculture, has been redeployed to head Lands and Physical Planning. Grace Saitoti, who had been serving in the Trade docket, has been transferred to the Agriculture department as Chief Officer.

Governor Lenku said the reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen county administration, enhance efficiency and ensure effective delivery of services to residents of Kajiado County. He noted that the changes are expected to inject new energy and leadership into key departments.

The Governor confirmed that all the changes take effect immediately as the county government continues to prioritize improved service delivery for its residents.
