KURA sets stakeholder meeting on proposed improvement of Kunde – Kiserian road

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has invited local leaders, utility agencies and residents to a stakeholder consultation meeting ahead of the proposed improvement of the Kunde – Kiserian Road.

In a notice dated December, 2025, the Authority confirmed that the proposed works will cover an estimated distance of about 0.35 km. The project falls under the agency’s mandate of managing, developing, rehabilitating and maintaining national urban roads.

The consultation aims to gather views and concerns from the public before the project begins. Those invited include representatives from the National Assembly for Kajiado West, the Deputy County Commissioner, the Sub County Police Commander, area chiefs and assistant chiefs, water and power utilities, the Ngong Municipal Manager and the leadership of community groups along Kunde Road.

KURA stated that public involvement remains a crucial requirement in the planning of urban road projects. The agency emphasized that local residents and institutions are best placed to highlight issues affecting mobility, safety and infrastructure needs within Kiserian and its surroundings.

The meeting is scheduled for December 11 at Number Four, Kunde Road starting at 9:30 am. Participants will discuss project expectations, social impact and the planned construction works.

Community associations from Kunde Ole Moiko area and the boda boda leadership from the Kunde stage have also been invited to give their input. Their feedback is expected to help shape final project decisions and ensure the road upgrade responds to local priorities.
