Purko Ward has confirmed Mpusia Amos of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) as its new Member of County Assembly (MCA) after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) released the official results. Mpusia secured 2,085 votes, placing him ahead of all competitors.
Sanare Saidimu of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) followed with 1,522 votes, taking the position of first runners up. Daniel Naikuni of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) came third with 298 votes.

The ward recorded 3,905 voters out of 4,848 registered, showing a strong turnout that demonstrated high public interest in choosing new leadership. The results reflected a competitive race and showed the shifting political preferences among residents.
Mpusia’s victory strengthens UDA’s presence in Purko Ward as he prepares to take office. Residents now shift their focus to his delivery on key development priorities, better services and community needs across the ward.
