The County Government of Kajiado has announced a major step in its land administration agenda with the planned issuance of title deeds and certificates of lease to plot owners across several key towns. The initiative forms part of the county’s broader commitment to advancing livable towns through improved land governance and secure property ownership.
According to the Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, Urban Development and Municipalities the programme targets plot owners whose documents have been processed and verified. Beneficiaries from Noonkopir, Isinya, Bulbul, Kajiado and Namanga have been invited to collect their documents during an official ceremony.
The event is scheduled for December 2, 2025 at the Kajiado County Headquarters starting at 10:00am. The ceremony will be presided over by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku which signals the county leadership’s emphasis on secure tenure and orderly urban development.

County authorities have described the exercise as a significant milestone that is expected to boost confidence among landowners reduce disputes and encourage investment. By releasing these documents the county aims to strengthen land management structures and support planned growth in rapidly expanding urban centres.
For many residents receiving a title deed or certificate of lease will provide long awaited proof of ownership enabling easier access to financial services development approvals and long term land security. The county government has indicated that similar exercises will continue as more documents are finalized.
