Katoo awards bursaries to 50 learners in Kaputiei North

State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito has awarded bursaries to 50 children from Kimalat in Kaputiei North Ward, each set to receive Ksh 15,000 to support their education. The bursaries are part of his continuous effort to ensure equal access to education and reduce the financial burden on parents in rural areas.

According to Metito, the bursary support aims to uplift bright but needy learners and help them remain in school, especially at a time when the cost of education continues to rise.

Over the years, Metito has been instrumental in advancing education and development in Kajiado. His leadership has seen the construction of new classrooms, the equipping of laboratories and the renovation of dormitories in several schools across the county. He has also championed water projects in dry areas such as Mashuuru and Kimana, ensuring that residents and learning institutions have reliable access to clean water.

His office has also facilitated the distribution of education materials and supported community health projects, reflecting his broader commitment to equitable development.

The latest bursary disbursement reaffirms Metito’s dedication to nurturing the future generation through education, a sector he has consistently prioritized throughout his political career.
