Four people were injured on Sunday evening following a head-on collision involving a Probox transporting tomatoes and a trailer at the notorious Kisaju black spot along the Isinya–Kitengela Road.
The accident occurred near the Namanga Road junction in Kisaju, a section that residents have repeatedly described as dangerous due to its poor road condition and frequent crashes. Witnesses said the Probox was heading towards Kitengela when it was hit by a trailer believed to have been driven by a drunk driver.
According to locals at the scene, the trailer had narrowly avoided several other accidents earlier before ramming into the smaller vehicle. “This is unfortunate that we lose life and property. This road needs to be repaired,” one eyewitness lamented, adding that traffic police had not arrived at the scene more than an hour after the crash.

The injured victims were rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment. Residents urged authorities to act swiftly to improve the stretch of road, calling it a death trap that continues to claim lives despite repeated warnings.
In a separate incident, one person died on the spot after two motorcycles collided at Ilasit Customs in the Oloitoktok area. The fatal crash left one other rider seriously injured and was attributed to speeding and poor visibility.
Motorists and residents in Kajiado County are now calling on the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) and relevant agencies to enhance road safety measures along both the Isinya–Kitengela and Oloitoktok routes to curb the rising number of accidents.
