Rongai’s Route 125 is trading one icon for another as Fortune exits the stage for Kiambu. Fortune, the flamboyant nganya from Route 125, has officially exited the Rongai corridor, relocating to the Kiambu route in what insiders are calling a strategic shift.
The move, confirmed through viral TikTok clips and matatu fan pages, marks a cultural migration as much as a logistical one. In the clip, the famous Expresso sacco sticker was seen being stripped from Fortune.
Elsewhere, Phenomenal (KDR 380T) is set to make its grand entrance fresh from the Ngong circuit.
Nganya sampler El’Chefe confirmed the move, noting that Phenomenal will now cruise alongside heavyweights like Baba Yaga, G-Unit, and Moxie, adding fresh heat to an already stacked lineup.
Previously plying Route 111, Phenomenal built its reputation on Ngong’s rugged terrain, blending street elegance with its bassy sound system. Its transfer to Rongai signals a new rivalry for the Route 125 supremacy.
“This isn’t the first time Rongai has poached from Ngong,” El’Chefe quipped. “Fortune was once a Ngong beast before it joined Route 125. Now it’s Kiambu’s problem.”
Fortune’s recent departure to Kiambu has left a void in Rongai’s matatu theatre, a space Phenomenal seems poised to fill.
