Kajiado County has taken a significant step toward modern and efficient governance, marking a new milestone in its public service transformation journey.
Through the Kenya Devolution Support Program (KDSP) II Programme, the Department of Public Service worked closely with the State Department of Public Service to train departmental champions on automating the Staff Performance Appraisal System (SPAS). This effort now places Kajiado among the first three counties in Kenya to fully adopt a paperless performance management system, signaling a new era of efficiency, accountability and innovation.
Leadership played a crucial role in driving this achievement. The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Public Service, Judy Pere, officially closed the workshop and continues to offer strong leadership in advancing sector-wide reforms.

The Director of Human Resources Management, Winfred Taiko, also provided steady guidance throughout the process, ensuring the exercise achieved its intended impact. Governor Joseph Ole Lenku remains central to this success through his clear vision and commitment to modernizing county operations.
This transition goes beyond technology. It represents a promise to build a more transparent, responsive and future-ready public service that delivers better results for the people of Kajiado.
