Merishaw School in Isinya, Kajiado County, has been drawn into controversy after its principal, David Kariuki, allegedly fled from the school following an examination irregularity. The institution, situated along the Isinya–Namanga Road, is a boys’ boarding secondary school known for strong academic performance and modern facilities.
It is alleged that the principal was found projecting answers to candidates on a large television screen during the national examination. The incident caused panic within the school as invigilators and supervisors tried to restore order. Police officers are said to be pursuing the principal, who reportedly left the premises shortly after the act was discovered.
Action has been taken by TSC by relieving him of his duties as the examination centre manager. His deputy has reportedly been appointed to take over management of the ongoing examination process to ensure continuity at the centre.
