Police have launched an investigation into the death of a 28-year-old woman who was fatally attacked while working on her farm in Magadi on October 29.
The victim, identified as Magret Muriithi, was reportedly assaulted by an unknown individual in broad daylight. According to police sources, she sustained serious injuries during the attack and succumbed while being rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The assailant fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Authorities have since initiated a manhunt and confirmed that several leads are being pursued to establish both the identity of the suspect and the motive behind the attack.
A postmortem examination is expected to be conducted on Magret’s body to determine the exact cause of death.

Local residents are now calling for swift justice and improved security measures in rural areas. Police have urged anyone with information that could aid in the investigation to come forward.
Local leaders and human rights advocates are also pressing for greater protection of women working in isolated areas, citing the vulnerability of individuals in remote farming communities.
