Katoo boosts AIC Kajiado with Ksh 1m donation

State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito has donated Ksh 1M to the AIC Kajiado Child Care Centre to support bursaries and welfare needs of children with disabilities.

The funds will help pay school fees and cover essential care requirements for children enrolled at the facility. They will also boost rehabilitation programmes that provide physiotherapy, mobility support and special education for children with physical challenges.

AIC Kajiado Child Care Centre is a long-serving residential and rehabilitative institution that assists children from across Kajiado County and neighbouring regions. It provides specialised therapy, education support and daily care for children living with disabilities.

The centre relies heavily on donor support and partnerships to run its programmes. Past contributions have gone towards bursaries, provision of assistive devices and physiotherapy projects. The new donation is expected to expand these services and improve the welfare of beneficiaries.

Community leaders and stakeholders welcomed the gesture, noting that it will ease the burden on parents and guardians while giving more children access to education and rehabilitation.
